Membership in The Order of the Grail

At this time, we only admit candidates into the Order of the Grail,

who either: 1) apply directly to an O.T.G. Commandery, or 2) who wish to start an OTG Commandery in an area which is at least 60 miles from the nearest OTG Commandery.  Click here for more Information on  Starting an Order of the Grail Commandery.

Applying for Membership in an O.T.G. Commandery; Typically, at or after the third visit to an O.T.G. Commandery Convocation, a visitor may request an application for membership from the Commander.

Acceptance into the Commandery. This is determined by the Commander and the Commandery members, and according to  OTG RULES and Regulations.

Retaining Membership. Membership requires active participation in the commandery, and guidelines are set by each commander in the respective Commandery by-Laws.

*Membership Dues.  are collected by the OTG Commander to cover reasonable expenses for operation of the commandery, with excess monies going to a designated Charity. Dues are usually collected at the beginning of the Grail Year (March 21 of the
present year through March 20th of the following year).

*Dues may be required for commandery membership, regardless of attendance at Commandery convocations.

Obtaining The Higher Degrees. Second ( Page or Squire) and Third degree (Knight or Dame) initiations are available to all
Commandery Members after the second Grail year of active
membership, assuming other requirements are met which allow us
to administer these grades. Initiations from other Rosicrucian,
Masonic, Chivalric or any other orders will not, unfortunately,
be applicable towards advanced placement directly into our
higher degrees, however these members may, at the election of the Commander
be admitted as honorary 1st degree members.

The Second and Third degree Initiations usually require a nominal initiation materials fee.

These guidelines will vary somewhat among other Commanderies, who are requested to write their own by-laws. See OTG rules for more information.
