3363 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039 For a map and directions click on the address link above The Gnostic Holy Eucharist is the supreme transformational rite of Christian alchemy and will be celebrated specifically for the intent of the Gay & Lesbian (GLBT) Community. Our real nature is divine; therefore we have infinite strength and wisdom at our command, provided we can free ourselves of the obstacles which stand in the way of our conscious union with the indwelling God. The Gnostic Holy Eucharist (or Mass) is so designed that it may remove the barriers separating the human and divine natures in ourselves thereby establishing new levels of receptivity to the inner world of the spirit.
Sts. Serge & Bacchus, martyred Oct. 7th, 303 AD, are ancient Christian martyrs who were tortured to death in Syria because they refused to attend sacrifices in honor of Jupiter. Recent attention to early Greek manuscripts has also revealed that they were openly gay men and that they were erastai, or lovers. These manuscripts are found in various libraries in Europe and indicate an earlier Christian attitude towards homosexuality. This special service includes Gay and Lesbian affirming language and special prayers for our community. Homily (sermon) will be as "relevant to the GLBT community” within as Gnostic a context as possible. Masses are usually celebrated by the Priest who founded this special ministry, Fr. Michael Lafferty, Fr. John Goelz or Rev. (Priest) Donna Owen with Gay, Lesbian and bisexual or heterosexual members of our clergy assisting. Healing service available after the Mass by request. Refreshments and fellowship following service. For more information contact Fr. Michael Lafferty: E-mail: lionrouge@pacbell.net Fr. John Goelz or Rev. Donna Owen
